Premiership Transfer Talk – Part 1
It has been an eventful summer so far and a number of high profile signings has happened. Nathan Ake and Jordan Ibe are notable addition to AFC Bournemouth while in north London, Arsenal rather being docile has completed deals for swiss international Granit Xhaka (you should remember the orbiting penalty at the Euros), Takuma Asano, Rob Holding and wonderkid Kelechi Nwakali. It’s been a rather mixed summer for the Gunners as they’ve not added in positions lacking of quality. Newcomer, Burnley have done an unbelievable one with Belgian powerhouse Steven Defour (makes me want him in the same team as Jermaine Defoe) and Kop revelation, John Flanagan, its notable to mention that Joey Barton has moved to Rangers in the Scottish League. London club, Chelsea on appointing Italian Antonio Conte have further brought in Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi and Ngolo Kante, but a refusal to bring back Mo Salah who has completed his switch to AS Roma is quite disappointing. Crystal Palace, in my opinion, has done some good piece of business in bringing Andros Townsend as a replacement for the departed Bolasie, towering goalkeeper, Steven Mandandan, James Tomkin and club record signing Christian Benteke, I think this team has just had an upward shift from where they were last season.
While AFC Bournemouth is trying to hold on to top flight status, Arsenal have failed to strengthen their dithering defence and lacklustre forward. Burnley has done a trick by bringing in defour but we’ll wait to see if he’s all they need while Chelsea are just on their way to recuperate from their shocking slump last term.
The teams are only getting better and that just sparks the excitement the English Premier League brings to the fan’s delight.
