Champions League Prediction: Expect Real Madrid to Lose Tonight
CSKA MOSKVA vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
CSKA have only won one once in their last 3 games. So they welcome Spurs in an inconsistent shape while the North London outfit go into the clash with 3 wins out of the last 3 games. But the latter lost their first round game against Monaco at their temporary Champions League home, Wembley Stadium. A game in the cold region of Moscow is always a challenge and that is one of the challenges Spurs would have to overcome. They would be without injured Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Moussa Dembele for this game.
MONACO vs BAYER LEVERKUSEN
Monaco look to continue a good start to the campaign after an away win at Wembley while Bayer Leverkusen would want to record their first victory after their 2-2 draw against CSKA. Monaco’s blistering form have only been punctuated by the 4-0 loss to Nice and they go into this clash at the back of a win against Angers. They would be without injured Colombian striker Radamel Falcao. Bayer Leverkusen have been on a streak of inconsistent form winning just once (and losing once too) in their last 4 games. Monaco would have to watch out for Turkish set-piece specialist Hakan Calhanoglu if they want to finish this game unscathed.
Monaco 2-1 Bayer Leverkusen
BORUSSIA DORTMUND vs REAL MADRID
BVB have scored 20 goals in their last 4 games and have claimed wins in all four. They go against a Real Madrid side that have only won two of their last four games after two consecutive disappointing draws against Villarreal and Las Palmas in their last two La Liga fixtures. An explosive game of football this would turn out to be.
BVB 3-2 Real Madrid
LEICESTER CITY vs PORTO
If Leicester’s good start to life in Europe would continue, they would have to go through FC Porto and improve on their back to back loss. Two wins and two losses in their last 4 games is a bit short in form against Porto’s two wins and two draws in their last 4 games. Leicester City are still without Kasper Schmeichel and Nampalys Mendy. This for me has a Porto win written all over this game.
Leicester 1-2 Porto
SEVILLA vs OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS
Sevilla have only won one of their last four games and drawn two, they welcome Lyon to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Lyon have won two, lost one and drawn one of their last four games. While Sevilla are not on the high scoring side this term scoring 5 out of 5 games, Lyon boast of a 10 out of 5 games. I can’t look beyond Sevilla for this one owing to Lyon’s inconsistency away from home.
Sevilla 1-0 Lyon
DINAMO ZAGREB vs JUVENTUS
Juventus would welcome Argentine forward Pablo Dybala back into the line-up after he was rested over the weekend. The Bianconeri have drawn one, lost one and won two of their last four games in all competitions and go into tonight’s clash with a string of positive results. Dinamo have won their last two games after two back to back losses. If they are to get anything from this game, they need more than the advantage of the home support. Algerian striker, Hilal El Arbi Soudani and Junior Fernandes would have to turn up for this clash.
Dinamo 1-3 Juventus
